Charles Bird King

Something a little more traditional today. Charles Bird King was renowned particularly for his portraits of Native American chiefs and American statesmen. Nearly every American History textbook I had in school had a King portrait in it somewhere.  This portrait of a woman and her daughter, although contemporary for its time, has a touch of the Neoclassical style that was all the rage in the early 1800s.
